Passion in Action: A Banana Bunch Benefit

Our newest DreamKids in Action story is now posted! Monisha (15), Brittney (14) and Rajesh (10) Bhayana of Buffalo, N.Y. have raised thousands of dollars for their local Ronald McDonald House simply by putting their passion into action...

Since 2003, the "Banana Bunch" have been writing, producing and performing their very own puppet show for friends and family. From their family's basement to a backyard tent and this year to a professional theatre, the Bhayana kids' production has become become one of the most profitable fundraisers held in the area for Ronald McDonald House.

Of their fundraising efforts, 10-year-old Rajesh says, "At the end of the show, I feel really proud because I know that I helped someone and all of the practices and hard work paid off."

Way to go Bhayana kids! Click here to read more about the Banana Bunch Benefit.

DK Founder is Reinventing Mom

DreamKids founder and president, Kelly Pryde, Ph.D., is on a mission to reinvent motherhood. Based on her own personal experience as well as extensive research, Kelly has found that too many Moms today are "running on empty," overwhelmed and exhausted as they strive to meet all the 24-7 demands. Until today...

Kelly's new program "Reinventing Mom" helps women understand and recognize the physical, emotional and psychological factors that lead to running on empty and offers them alternatives for becoming the Moms and women they're meant to be. Based on a book in progress, this program is changing the ways women think about and go about fulfilling their roles as Mom.

If you're a Mom in need of some reinvention, Reinventing Mom will be offered as a 2-hour workshop on Tuesday September 25, 2007 from 7-9 pm. For more information and to register, please visit the Newmarket Mommies website at: http://www.newmarketmommies.homestead.com/.
