DreamKids tees were featured in a recent article on kids t-shirts in SavvyMom Today -- the trusted resource for moms across Canada who are dealing with the realities of modern day motherhood. This hugely popular e-newsletter goes out every Tuesday and Thursday and dishes on everything from diapers to dinner parties. Update on baby Parker...

In case you didn't see the article in the Toronto Star the other day, baby Parker is now at home! The treatment he has been receiving at the Hospital for Sick Children has enabled the cells and levels related to his immune system to increase sufficiently to allow him to go home.

Parker's parents, Kevin and Tracy, have had to take many precautions in their home to ensure Parker remains healthy as they await their trip to Italy at the end of October. Needless to say, however, they are thrilled to have their little boy back at home. Here is an excerpt from Kevin's blog the day they went home:

"I cannot begin to express the happiness and joy that my wife and I are feeling today. Parker is just over four and a half months old and he has spent almost all of it in the hospital. We were so elated when we got to walk our little boy out of the isolation unit in his stroller this morning at 11:30. ... The whole ride home Parker stared out the window as we passed others cars, and green fields holding his mom's hand!"

Such exciting news for the DesLauriers! For those of you with healthy children at home and in your family -- count your blessings. I can't even imagine what this family has endured over the last 4 months.

Just a reminder that a benefit concert, Playing for Parker, will be held on June 16th at 8 pm at the Rivoli in Toronto (334 Queen St. W) to raise money to cover expenses for Kevin and Tracy to take Parker to Milan.
